CARE INSTRUCTIONS
After each use, simply drying the glass with an approved squeegee or microfiber towel will keep it clean and make it difficult for mineral spots to form.
Regular cleaning with a damp microfiber cloth and a mild detergent (like Dawn or 7th Generation) will break down soaps, oils, and conditioners, preventing buildup on the glass protection. General glass cleaners are also suitable but are usually finishing agents rather than actual cleaners, making them an unnecessary added expense.
Hard Water Maintenance
In hard water areas, or places where water drops dry and leave noticeable dust marks, a buildup of minerals may occur on the protective treatment. These minerals may not be easily removed with mild detergent, but mild acids like white vinegar can often remove the marks quickly. Use white vinegar as needed to wipe down the glass with a soft microfiber. While dilution is possible, it reduces the vinegar’s effectiveness. Squeegeeing or wiping down the glass after each use will prevent water drops from drying into dust marks. In regions with high silica in the water, the manufacturer recommends using a squeegee after EVERY use.
NOTE
If the glass looks hazy, has visible streaking or swirling patterns on the glass, simply wipe with denatured alcohol to remove. This is a normal occurrence and does not affect the performance of the surface protection.
Prohibited Products
Note: Using the following products may damage the treatment and void any warranty.
Do not use any rough, gritty, or abrasive cleaners. Avoid cleaning products containing very strong alkalis or modern mold removing agents with a combination of bleach and sodium hydroxide.
Harsh or chemical cleaners are unnecessary with correct maintenance.
Avoid abrasives or polishes, including water spot removers and toothpaste.
Approved Cleaning Products
There are no specific products required to keep your glass clean. All you need is a squeegee, mild liquid dish soap, and white vinegar. Products such as Windex, SprayWay, Scrubbing Bubbles, 7th Generation, and Method are acceptable but not necessary.
